YouTube in Colombia: the list of the 10 most viewed videos of this day

Although social networks such as Facebook and Instagram are increasingly betting on videos, the truth is that YouTube continues to be the king, being the second most visited page in the world only behind the Google search engine.

YouTube has a presence in 104 countries and is available in 80 languages, so it is not surprising that on this platform you can find a BTS video, going through horror videos to educational content on how to solve an equation.

The American platform, which emerged in 2005, has become the largest digital video library in the world and proof of this is that more than 500 hours of content are uploaded to it every minute, 5 billion videos are viewed per day and profits are estimated at 15 billion dollars per quarter.

Given these figures, it could be somewhat difficult to miss the news or the clips that are the most popular, which is why YouTube has had various lists since 2018 where you can consult the most listened to artists, the most viewed videos and what the trends of the day are in real time.

The YouTube platform has remained among the most popular despite the diversification of options for consuming videos and music.Users use it to watch music videos, tutorials and even news.Regarding the artists who saw the most in 2023, in first place was Karol G and Shakira with TQG; in second place was Joaquin Guiller, Maycol Rosero, Beren with No Sufriré Por Nadie; next, Yng Lvcas and Peso Pluma with the La Bebe video clip.

The platform has also witnessed the growing popularity of Latin American content creators throughout 2023. Among them, the Uruguayan influencer Fede Vigevani stands out, who has established himself as one of the most viewed YouTubers in Colombia.

Vigevani’s content is characterized by its versatility, ranging from vlogs, challenges, to hidden camera pranks.Another creator who has attracted attention in the region is the American MrBeast, known for his challenges and giveaways.Despite being a non-Spanish-speaking content creator, MrBeast has managed to transcend language barriers and has positioned itself among the most viewed in Colombia.

These creators are joined by Alfredo Larin, Ian Lucas, Ami Rodríguez and as “revelation of the year”: Alextis, The Donato, Albertisment, Amara Que Linda and DeGoBooM.These creators have shown that it is possible to reach a large audience outside their countries of origin, while promoting the Spanish language on the platform, where Spanish-speaking communities continue to grow and consume content.
