New Russian attacks caused the death of four civilians on Wednesday in several towns in the Dnipro region, in southeastern Ukraine, according to regional governor Oleksandr Ganzha.

The impacts were recorded in three small towns near the city of Synelnykove, east of Dnipro.Paramedics found the fatal victims under the rubble in two houses, searched by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

In one of the attacks, a man was killed and his wife was injured. In another town, a couple and their 45-year-old son died, and another man was injured.Additionally, in a third village, a woman was injured by the bombing.

In the Kharkiv region, Russian troops bombed a store in the town of Barvinkove, causing a fire and leaving seven people with minor injuries.“Emergency services are working at the scene, the police are providing assistance to victims and documenting the consequences of the enemy attack,” Kharkiv police reported.

In parallel, Moscow attacked an infrastructure facility in the Odessa region, which was damaged in one of the districts. In addition, a shopping center was also damaged.“There is a victim and doctors are providing assistance at the moment,” said the head of the region, SerhiyLysak.

The target in recent weeks of Moscow’s attacks has been residential buildings, schools and homes, as it continues the daily offensive against critical infrastructure in Ukraine. The president of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelensky, insists that the bombings of civilians are more cruel amid the situation of the electricity grid and the supply of fuel to heat homes in the middle of the harsh winter.

Zelensky reported Wednesday that his team is ready for a third round of negotiations with Russia next week in the United States, focused on a possible ceasefire, although he stressed that the Kremlin has not yet confirmed its participation in the possible trilateral meeting.

“The American side proposed a meeting in the United States, in Miami, next week, and we confirmed it immediately. We were waiting (for the response) from the Russians. As I understand it, Russia is hesitating,” the president told Ukrainian media.

According to the newspaper Ukrainska Pravda, the meeting would be scheduled for the 17th and 18th in the state of Florida, but the Russian delegation has not yet given an official response.Zelensky indicated that he would also be willing to continue talks in Abu Dhabi if Moscow requests it.

So far, two rounds of negotiations have already been held in the capital of the United Arab Emirates between Russian and Ukrainian representatives, mediated by the United States.

The last meeting, at the beginning of the month, allowed for the first prisoner exchange of the year and the commitment of the three parties to hold new meetings to move towards a peace agreement. The first round took place on January 23 and 24.

Among the main obstacles remain the Russian demand that Ukraine withdraw from the areas it still controls in the eastern Donetsk region and control of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, the largest in Europe.
