Chef and television personality Gordon Ramsay publicly came out in defense of Victoria Beckham and David Beckham amid the intense family drama involving his eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, and his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham. In statements to The Sun, the famous chef categorically rejected the young man’s accusations about an alleged “inappropriate” episode during the 2022 wedding ball.
“Victoria is upset and has every right to be,” said the chef when asked about the tensions with his eldest son and the accusations he made on social networks at the beginning of 2026.
Ramsay proceeded to deny one of the strongest arguments in the family dispute.”We were at the wedding. There was nothing lewd. There was nothing inappropriate. Everyone was having fun and dancing,” she said.
The tabloid again specifically asked if Victoria had danced inappropriately with her son.”No! None of that. It was fun,” the gastronomic entrepreneur reiterated.
“I have seen firsthand how good parents they are,” he added, alluding to his friendship with David and Victoria, which — as he explained — spans “almost two and a half decades.”
Ramsay’s statements contrast with the version that Brooklyn spread in a series of Instagram stories on January 19.In them, the 26-year-old photographer and businessman maintained that his mother “monopolized” his first dance with Nicola during the wedding held in April 2022 in Palm Beach.
“My mother intercepted my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks before with a romantic love song,” he wrote.
According to his story, guest singer Marc Anthony called him to the stage—where, he claimed, his dance with the bride was scheduled—and instead introduced Victoria.
“He danced very inappropriately with me in front of everyone,” Brooklyn said, adding that “I have never felt so uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”Eljoven explained that this episode was one of the reasons that led them to renew their vows in August 2025 to “create new memories” away from “anxiety and shame.”
Sources close to Nicola’s family then supported that version to PEOPLE, describing that the “shocking” moment had left the room silent.A second informant recalled that “you could hear a pin drop” after the artist’s announcement.
Beyond the specific episode, Ramsay contextualized the dispute as a generational clash that usually intensifies when children get married.
“It is hard for the dynamic between parents and children to change after marriage,” he reflected.Even so, he highlighted the depth of the bond between father and son: “The relationship between David and Brooklyn is very, very deep, and I know how much David loves Brooklyn.”
“I think it will only be a matter of time before Brooklyn looks at himself and understands what his parents mean to him,” he said.Along these lines, he recalled difficult moments overcome as a family: he said he had seen “many times” how David and Victoria got their son “out of his troubles” and “were by his side in the good times and the bad.”For Ramsay, “time will be the best ally.”
Far from demonizing the young man, Ramsay was empathetic and affectionate. He said he exchanged some messages with him and described him as someone with an “incredible heart.”
He attributed the current drama to the emotional intensity of his new stage as a husband.”It’s hard, I think, when you’re in love. Love is blind,” he said. “He’s desperate to stand on his own two feet, to forge his own path, and I respect that about Brooklyn; it’s a good thing.”
“But remember where you come from and, honestly, one day you won’t have your mom and dad, and you need to understand that,” the famous chef warned.“You are an incredible young man, but, boy, they have done more for you than anyone will ever do in your entire life.”
