Genshin Impact will receive its next big update on February 25

Genshin Impact, the popular title developed by HoYoverse, will launch its Moon Version V update on February 25: “Song of the Welkin Moon: Variation –Homeward, He Who Caught the Wind.”This update reorients the player’s experience toward one of the game’s most iconic settings and introduces Varka, until now known only in narrative as the legendary Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius, as a playable character for the first time.

The Luna V update represents a return to Mondstadt, the region where players began their exploration of the world of Teyvat.Through a main event starring the Knights of Favonius, participants will be able to relive key episodes from the past from a new perspective. One of the main aspects of this event, titled “Echoes of Memory,” challenges players to identify subtle differences in familiar scenes using the Spotter Camera tool, turning memory and nostalgia into an active challenge.

Customization is incorporated through activities that allow you to create selected drinks for your characters, and both gliding and combat challenges add variety to the experience. In relation to combat, new mechanics are introduced that allow shadow knights to be summoned to weaken or distract enemies, which adds an additional layer of strategy to the game. Those who complete these tests will receive as a reward a weapon skin inspired by a crystal ball, “Phantasmal Gift: Star Omen”, compatible with any character who uses catalyst.

For a long time, Varka was an enigmatic figure within the Genshin Impact universe, recognized as the absent Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius and called the “Knight of Boreas.”In Luna V, he finally joins as a playable character, embodying the Anemo element and using two greatswords. His gameplay stands out for the ability to inflict two types of elemental damage at the same time thanks to his double sword style.

Varka’s elemental ability allows her to modify the type of damage of her right claymore according to the elements that make up the team, managing to alternate between Pyro, Hydro, Electro or Cryo, while her left claymore remains associated with Anemo damage. Her personal history is also linked to that of the Great Wolf of the North, providing narrative depth for those who participate in special submission.Completing the challenge of overcoming a part of the wolf spirit grants players free original skins for both of Varka’s arms, incentivizing participation and achieving achievements during the event.

The proposal for additional content in the Luna V update expands the range of playable activities.Players will be able to enjoy unprecedented mini-games, such as a photography competition in which they must capture representative panoramas of regions such as Natlan, Fontaine and Sumeru, promoting exploration and visual acuity.Another notable mode is strategic defense against waves of enemies, designed to test the teams’ tactical skills and reaction time.

The interactive narrative section is also renewed, with improvements in “Travelers’ Tales”, as well as the integration of voice functions in “MiliastraWonderland”, accompanied by game modes developed around this new resource.Players will have the opportunity to obtain exclusive cosmetics, such as the “Owl Envoy” set for Manekin or Manekina, which can be obtained for free through participation in events.
