Solo Leveling comes to Fortnite: this is all the content that will be available

Solo Leveling joins the collaborations that Fortnite makes with different references of popular culture that have an important niche of followers, as in the case of this anime that has become one of the most viewed on Crunchyroll.

The v39.50 Fortnite update, scheduled for Thursday, February 19, will be the stage where the collaboration with Solo Leveling will materialize. After days of speculation fueled by cryptic messages on the game’s social networks, Epic Games confirmed the arrival of the most representative protagonists of South Korean anime and manhwa.

The main content that will land in the item store is headed by the skin of Sung Jin-Woo, the iconic “Monarch of Shadows.”This appearance will stand out for the character’s characteristic dark outfit and, according to specialized leakers, could include a reactive style: Jin-Woo’s appearance will evolve as you eliminate opponents, simulating his ability to level up without limits, one of the most distinctive features of the original story.

The collaboration is not limited to the protagonist. The hunter Cha Hae-In, recognized in the series as one of the most powerful and beloved figures, will also have her own skin. The arrival of allies like Igris or the ant king Beru is emerging as another of the great attractions, either in the form of independent outfits or as part of mythical gestures and accessories related to the army of shadows.

The content pack could also include thematic pickaxes – such as daggers inspired by Jin-Woo’s weapons -, backpacks based on shadow invocations and emotes that recreate characteristic poses and phrases from the anime, such as the already famous “Arise” (or “Surge”), emulating the shadow invocation mechanics.

Players who enjoy the LEGO Fortnite mode will also be able to access adapted versions of these characters and objects, expanding the range for those who prefer relaxed construction.

Solo Leveling is a story originating as a webtoon, created by Chugong and illustrated by Jang Sung-Rak.The series became an overwhelming success, racking up over 14 billion views online and expanding into a novel and animated adaptation produced by A-1 Pictures.

The plot follows Sung Jin-Woo, a hunter initially considered the weakest of all humanity, trapped at rank E with no prospects for improvement. After surviving a massacre during a double dungeon mission, Jin-Woo gains access to the “System,” a mysterious interface that allows him to surpass his limits, level up without restrictions, and recruit his defeated enemies as shadows under his command.

As Jin-Woo grows in power, he goes from being an outcast to becoming the “Shadow Monarch,” facing supernatural threats and unraveling the secrets of the portals and dungeons that threaten the Earth.

This transformation narrative, added to the fluidity of the animation and the intensity of the combat scenes, has managed to captivate millions, placing the series at the top of the power fantasy genre.

So Solo Leveling joins a long list of other series of this style that have come to Fortnite through different collaborations and skins. The game has already received characters from Naruto, Dragon Ball, Attack on Titan and My Hero Academia.

However, for now there are no official images of what the characters will look like in the video game, the price to purchase the content and the animations that users will find once they purchase the items in the store.
