Alpine defined what the schedule of activities for its drivers will be like during the last three days of the Formula 1 preseason in Bahrain with a work scheme similar to the one they developed last week.
Franco Colapinto will have his first four hours available on the A526 in the second session on Wednesday afternoon (from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Argentina) and then will drive the full day on Thursday (from 4 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Argentina).On the other hand, Pierre Gasly will open the Wednesday activity until the midday stoppage in Bahrain and then will be in charge of the Friday task program.
The 22-year-old Argentine has just completed 172 laps on the Bahrain International Circuit during the first week of activities.Although on Wednesday he had problems in the car and only added 28 laps, on the last day he had the car at his disposal and accumulated another 144 laps to set a time of 1:35.806, the fastest set by Alpine in Bahrain so far in this new era. Gasly, who faced failures at the end of his full session, added a total of 146 laps.
Colapinto had made his first appearances during the private tests in Barcelona.He was in charge of the car on day 1 of activities at the Catalunya circuit, where he completed 60 laps (279 kilometers) and drove again in one of the shifts of the next appearance: he added another 58 laps (270 kilometers).In total, he will reach the last preseason round in Bahrain with 1,479 kilometers traveled with the new era car.
The preseason sessions in Bahrain will begin this Wednesday the 18th and will extend until Friday the 20th of February.Practices will begin at 4 in the morning in Argentina: the first shift will be until 8 in the morning.Then, at 9AM, it will restart with the afternoon session that will last until 1:00 p.m.In this case, all complete preseason days will be televised in Latin America by Disney and Fox Sports.
