The first two concerts of BTS’s world tour will hit theaters

BTS fans around the world will have a new way to experience the long-awaited return of the South Korean group: the first two concerts of their BTS WorldTour “Arirang” world tour will be broadcast live in movie theaters in numerous countries in April 2026.

According to official statements, the concerts that will be shown in cinemas correspond to the opening shows of the international tour: the first from Goyang, South Korea, on April 11, 2026, and the second from Tokyo, Japan, on April 18, 2026.

Each of these events will be broadcast simultaneously in movie theaters, with each session scheduled to be shown twice per territory to accommodate time zone differences and maximize the opportunity for participation by BTS fans around the world.

Marc Allenby, CEO of distributor Trafalgar Releasing, highlighted the cultural magnitude that the project represents: “The news of BTSWorld Tour ‘Arirang’ has been met with extraordinary global demand. Presenting these complete concerts on film offers audiences around the world the opportunity to come together and experience the tour on the big screen.”

The initiative follows in the wake of other live music film events, such as the phenomenon “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour”, which became the highest-grossing concert film of all time under the distribution of Trafalgar Releasing.

The BTS World Tour “Arirang” concert series marks the return of the entire group after almost four years of hiatus, a period in which the seven members—RM, Jin, Suga, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook—fulfilled their mandatory military service in South Korea and worked on new individual projects.

With an ambitious schedule, the tour includes 82 concerts in 34 cities around the world, a record for a K-pop artist in terms of number of performances.Likewise, the shows have a 360-degree “in-the-round” stage design, which places the audience around the central platform to offer a more immersive and close experience.

It should be noted that BTS’s return to the stage includes dates in Latin America. The announcement made in January was celebrated with emotion by fans of the South Korean boyband.Dates already announced include:

This tour accompanies the release of their long-awaited fifth studio album, Arirang, which is scheduled for release on March 20, 2026.

In relation to the release of their new musical material, the band has also partnered with Netflix to broadcast a special titled BTS the Comeback Live|Arirang on March 21, 2026.
