Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck once again took their Beverly Hills mansion off the market, a property that had been relisted just four months ago and has since failed to finalize a sale.
According to real estate records, the home was officially withdrawn from sale on Monday, January 26, marking the second failed attempt to part with the residence they shared during their marriage.
The decision comes after the former couple re-listed the property in September for $52 million, a figure considerably lower than the amounts requested in previous attempts.
The actors bought the mansion in May 2023 for almost $61 million, shortly after resuming their relationship and getting married.
A year later, in July 2024—a month before the singer formally filed for divorce—the property went on the public market with an asking price of $68 million.
As the months passed and due to the lack of buyers, the value was adjusted. In May 2025, the price was reduced to just under 60 million, although this reduction also failed to arouse the expected interest.
In July of that same year, the mansion was taken off the market for the first time. At the time, a close source explained to PEOPLE that it was a “joint decision.”
“While they were hoping to sell the property, they were also hesitant to take a significant loss. They lowered the price to generate more interest and, when that didn’t happen, they were advised to take it off the market. It was a business decision they made together,” the insider said.
A real estate agent cited at the time agreed with the diagnosis and assured that it is a complicated market for sellers, especially in properties in that price range.“Waiting for the context to be more favorable seems the most prudent thing to do,” he indicated.
The residence, of approximately 38 thousand square feet, is one of the most impressive in the area.It has 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms, as well as a garage with capacity for 12 cars.
Additional spaces include a 5,000-square-foot guest penthouse, a caretaker’s home, and a separate two-bedroom security quarters.
The property also has a wide range of amenities, including a sports lounge, a fully equipped gym, a boxing ring, and basketball and pickleball courts.
Before being listed publicly, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck attempted to sell the mansion privately in June 2024, a common practice among celebrities seeking to keep a low profile in transactions of this type.
However, when the operation did not materialize, they decided to put it on the open market the following month.
The evolution of the sale of the property has gone hand in hand with the changes in the couple’s relationship. In May 2024, PEOPLE reported that the two were already living separately.
A month later, a source indicated that Affleck had removed his belongings from the mansion while Lopez was traveling in Europe. In August 2024, the singer filed for divorce after two years of marriage.
The date did not go unnoticed: it coincided exactly with the second anniversary of the wedding ceremony they celebrated in Georgia on August 20, 2022.
The divorce process lasted several months and was officially finalized on January 6, 2025. Since then, both have continued with their respective professional agendas, while the Beverly Hills mansion still has not found a definitive buyer.
