2026 年最值得期待的游戏

March 19 is the launch of Crimson Desert, one of the most ambitious games, at least from its promises, of the year. The game was developed by Pearl Abyss, the Korean studio known for launching the MMO Black Desert Online, and it is an action-adventure RPG in an open world that promises to make people talk.

Crimson Desert was announced for the first time in 2019 and, from that moment, it surprised by the ambition of its promises. So much so that the passage of years and delays in its launch led to suspicions about whether the game would actually see the light of day or not. Finally, everything seems ready for its release and in recent weeks Pearl Abyss released different videos that delved into some of its aspects.

One of the central points of the game is its setting and open world. The story takes us to the continent of Pywel, a world that promises to be larger than the Red Dead Redemption 2 map, where we will have all kinds of cities, biomes, villages, ruins and sanctuaries among many other things to explore and find their secrets.

We will put ourselves in the shoes of Kliff, a mercenary leader of a faction, who seeks to reunite his people to rebuild his group at the same time that he ends up getting involved in larger political situations that put the entire continent at risk. The game invites us to learn about the history of Kliff, his allies and also form different alliances and meet characters from all over the world.

Like any game of this caliber, combat is also a central section and, since Pearl Abyss, they provided quite a few details on how it will work. Something that seems very interesting is that there will be many possibilities when it comes to how we want to fight.Swords, axes, spears, bows, muskets, different kinds of magic, martial arts and many more possibilities.

Combat and the open world aim to be the central and fundamental elements of the Crimson Desert experience and, to this, is added a power chart that will seek to surprise everyone. The entire game was developed under the BlackSpace graphics engine, owned by Pearly Abyss, which was made specifically for the development of this video game, which increases the industry-wide expectation of what Crimson Desert could be.

The last video that Pearl Abyss published detailing some of its mechanics consisted of showing different activities that players can do in Pywel. From fishing, hunting, cooking to collecting flowers and vegetation for alchemy, these are some of the elements that will also be present in the game and, it seems, with great depth.

On the other hand, with our group of mercenaries we will set up a camp that will also have its own mechanics such as the creation of a farm, the possibility of talking and spending time with our allies and even complete customization and management of each of the group members and their jobs.

Crimson Desert is committed to going as deep as possible into each of its aspects and, if we learned anything from the history of video games, it is that this can be a double-edged sword.Wanting to cover so much is not an easy task and this can make it one of the most memorable games of the year as well as being forgotten with the same ease. The good thing is that it won’t be long before we have it in our hands and can really see what it has to offer.CrimsonDesert comes out on March 19 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
